Meh. I wasn't so into this one. It had the addictive, crazy writing, but everything that happened was on the ridiculous side and a lot of it made little sense. There were also a lot of mysterious things alluded to about several of the side characters in this series that is never really fully explored and that kind of annoyed me. I also feel a little let down by the plot points that were continuations of the first book. I kind of expected a little more from them.

Alex is now a freshman in college going to the same college as Jesse. They haven’t seen or talked to each other in months but the second they do see each other the chemistry is still there and Jesse is tired of hiding his feelings. He is tired of them being a secret. But he has a secret of his own about Alex’s brother that he cannot tell. Alex doesn’t want to tell Jesse her secret about her parents abandoning her because he loves them as his own. But after one email from her dad and seeing them at their house, she snaps. So many secrets are revealed and Jesse & Alex are a united front!

Both books in this series were emotional but this one absolutely tore my heart out! I was crying because of Alex’s story, I was crying because she finally found her own little family, I was crying because of the secret! When she started remembering things about the last year Ethan was alive I cried!

Alex became so much stronger in this book and she finally was able to breathe! I love her and Jesse together and I love how he would do anything to protect her!

I wanna give it one star so bad because this book feels incomplete as it was quite rushed towards the end + didn’t had any epilogue. But I liked the mystery aspect, so I’m gonna rate it 3

This book was leagues ahead of book 1. It was a more enjoyable read, the characters were more likeable, you saw bit more character depth.

Like book 1, I read and listened to this one, and also like book 1, there were way more details in the audio version that were not included in the digital version. However the audio version did not included the epilogue.

This installment is almost as much of an emotional rollercoaster as the first. Yes, it is kinda addictive and I’m still conflicted about how to rate it.

This book made everything better for me. After not fully loving the 1st book, I was a little hesitant to continue the series, but since I am a big Tijan fan, I felt like I had to, knowing that she always deliver something that resonates with my heart, even if we are talking about one of her first released books.

Broken and Screwed 2 start immediately after the first one ended. This time, the journey to healing is there, is slow, and is difficult, but is there. Alex have a way of growing, of dealing with her trauma and try to leave behind the version that she became when everybody left her. Jesse become everything Alex needs, he stops wishing to stay away, he makes an effort to be with her, to take care and protect her no matter what. He is open about his wishes to have a public relationship and slowly more secrets start coming to light, like he avoided her, his brother wishes regarding these two and more.

I don't want to make spoilers, but this story will make you cry, will make you feel such an anger towards her parents that you will want to throw the book away, you will feel defeated when you find out the truth about her brother, but you will also feel warmth and happiness when her journey leads her to a new family, new friends and acceptance of her love for Jesse.

The grand finale of the first book, Broken and Screwed by Tijan, was way much better than expected.
In the previous book, it ended when Alex ended things with Jesse. Now we are in the summer and Alex is going to the same college as Jesse. And the chemistry between them is still the same. However, Alex doesn't want to be in the centre of attention so now they have to keep their relationship secret again. While this is happening, Alex is trying to move on from the past while making new friends and making new decisions. The problem is, all the secrets between Alex and Jesse are keeping them apart even more than the attention problem.
Okay, so, I loved this book so much. I love Alex and Jesse, I hate Angie and Marissa and her parents and his father but I love Cord and even all the other ones from the crew. I love how Tijan does these plot twists but also works it out in one session. She is just amazing and I have no more words to describe my love towards her.
