Fantastic, quick read. Nonacademic language making it easily accessible for all.
Adichie leaves the reader with great thoughts on an experience of being a woman, personal or semi personal experiences, making it relatable. She brings up some great points and circumstances pertaining to gender equality touching on gender roles and the importance of true feminism. Although, I could be bias and find it thought provoking because I agreed with her long before I picked this book up.
A MUST READ FOR ALL.

The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are. Imagine how much happier we would be, how much freer to be our true individual selves, if we didn’t have the weight of gender expectations.

An essential reading for everyone. A simple and non-intimidating introduction to feminism.
I just wished she included a list of must-read feminist texts at the end for further reading.

Picture vigorous head-nodding while I read this. Sweden's got the right idea - everyone should read this, not just 16-year-olds. Though I don't think it's going to convert any MRAs, it's definitely a great primer for someone who doesn't know anything about feminism.

3.8. A very, very short read, due to the fact it was adapted from her TED Talk. I love Adichie as an author, and as a speaker, you can really her her voice and honesty through this selection. The thematic element of feminism is present in all of her works, and I look forward to reading the rest of her books with this talk in my mind.
