Tish and Criminy Stain return in book 4 of the Blud series. I'm so happy to see a continuation of their story since this is the last book in the series. In case you don't remember, Criminy runs a traveling circus, and in book one, Tish joins them as a glancer (think fortune teller) when she appeared in Sang. A spelled necklace causes Tish to go back and forth between Earth and Sang whenever she falls asleep in either place. Which I would imagine would take a toll on someone after awhile. The only reason Tish is still going back to Earth instead of being with her husband Criminy full time is to take care of her dying grandmother. You see, if Tish turns into a bludman (think vampire) like her husband, she won't be able to go back to Earth, she'll be stuck in Sang forever.

Now we get to the interesting part. Tish manages to get her grandma to Sang. Now everything can be picture perfect, or so one would think. We wouldn't have a very interesting book if it was picture perfect, now would we? After a few days Tish and Criminy have to go on an adventure to find Tish's grandmother. She's run off, and with no clue why, Tish has to find her. I will tell you this, I was frustrated at the grandmother almost the entire time she was in Sang.

Wicked Ever After is a lovely conclusion of the Blud series. It had the adventure that I craved with the characters that I loved. Criminy is my favorite character in the entire series. He has that sweetness towards Tish that melts my heart, but don't be fooled into thinking he's soft. The series is full of vampires, adventure and romance, oh and bludbunnies. I highly suggest all of the books if you enjoy paranormal romance with a bit of bite.

This book is fourth in the Blud series and the second and final part of our favorite couple in Sang, Criminy and Tish. I haven't read all of the Blud novellas (yet) but my overall impression of this series, despite some pretty cheesy lines, is that this is a wonderful, well-thought-out, and brilliant world and story. I absolutely love this world and I love that three of the book focus on different characters. Because of this, we have been able to learn more about Sang than we do most book worlds.

Wicked Ever After starts out with Tish bringing her sick grandmother with her to Sang in the hopes that she can make her well again. At this point, Tish's entire world flips upside down and I... can't really say any more than that because SPOILERS. I will say that Criminy and Tish spend most of the book running around London and Tish has more ties to Sang than she could have ever imagined.

Wicked Ever After, a Blud novel, is the final installment in the Blud series, which happens to encompass four novels and three novellas. But don't think you have to read the first three books or any of the novellas to be able to enjoy Wicked Ever After - because trust me, you don't. Enough glimpses of the backstory are given that it isn't difficult to follow along at all - and slipping into the world of Sang was almost instantaneous for me.

I am especially enamored of the fact that this novel combined world-hopping, vampirism in a new form, and magic in a way that I've never seen before. I love Letitia's character - she's the perfect stubborn foil to Criminy. I love Criminy as well - he's the perfect husband to Letitia and frankly, I have to admit, I'd kind of like to have a hubby like him myself!

The world of Sang is simply awesome! A mirrored version of Earth it would seem - after all, they mention many of Earth's places such as London, Liverpool, Manchester, etc. A wickedly sinful version of Earth where Bludmen (vampire-like people) and bludanimals roam freely among the humans.

While not a five star read, Wicked Ever After is definitely one of my favorites and I am now determined to obtain the other books in the series. Oh and by the way - I'd like to thank whoever chose the cover model for Wicked Ever After for the eye-candy. ;)

**I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.**

I really really wanted to like this more than I did. It just didn't ... fit ... with the other books from my POV. I liked that pretty much everyone we ever met and cared about in Sang made an appearance, but it seemed ... forced? Gah. I wanted Tish and Crim to have their HEA for what feels like forever, and am happy they got it. I just ... I don't know. Was disappointed.

Another book I am not sure how to rate
Seem my thing lately...

I found it quite hard to get into this one- wasn't impressed with Trish the first third
Then I really enjoyed it till- about 80%
The end was ok
It's written really well- naturally
So I am just gonna think a bit about before writing a review... (Again! )

So... The series is over. *sniffles* The world of Sang is such a fantastically interesting place. But this isn't a series review. It's a book review.

4 1/2 stars. The book wasn't long but plenty happened. It was so great to have a heavier focus on Crim. He is such an interesting character. The book is a whirlwind and sums everything up, giving a satisfying end to the series which is always appreciative. It's hard to say much without spoiling anything. So, I enjoyed it but I'm sad to see the world over. I'll be visiting often though, I'm sure.

This book was definitely for the fans, and is a fitting end to the story of Tish and Criminy Stain. It's a nice, circular ending for the series - the other installments were about their friends and fellow carnivallos, but this finishes out the visions Tish had from the beginning, and moves her towards the ending of her own story.

While I still love Tish and Criminy, Ruby (formerly known as Nana) really annoyed me - I couldn't really understand why she reacted the way she did once she was in Sang and a bludwoman. I feel like her reaction to her glance of Tish's future didn't make much sense, especially based on what we previously knew about her and Tish's relationship. It was more to just move the plot, which bothers me - I want things to make sense, specifically to make sense for the character.

The ending was also a bit of the romance-summary
Spoiler-future children
cliche that I'm not a fan of.
SpoilerWhile I'm glad that we got to see Tish have children (since her uterus was badly scarred in her world, and so was barren), I really don't like the whole "look I have babies now and that makes my life perfect and fulfilled" story.
Just not my cup of tea.

But I really enjoyed the majority of the plot, specifically Tish's transformation (finally!), and how she comes into her own.

It's a good ending to the series, and while I wouldn't say no to more stories in the world of Sang, there aren't any loose strings left to pull.

It's THE BEST THING EVER when the author of one of your absolute favourite series' wraps the series up in the most perfect way ever, leaving you delighted and soppy, and totally thrilled with how things end up as you say goodbye to the characters and the world you've loved insanely. This is EXACTLY what Delilah Dawson has done with Blud. I'm sad it has to end, but I could not be any happier with how things ended up!!!

But while I'm super-happy with how the book ended, that does not mean that what comes before that ending was not just as dangerous, suspenseful and exciting as the previous books in the series have been. Dawson does NOT "phone it in" even though this is the final book. There were several points where I was not at all sure how things were going to play out, and was biting my lip with worry.

I've adored the world-building in this series from the first page of the first book, and that hasn't ever stopped. I think this is an extremely creative and unique take on vampires, demons and other supernatural creatures and I loved all of it!

But the best part of this series for me was always the love story between Criminy and Tish. This romance is precisely the reason that modern, rational adult women get all goo-goo eyed over fictional characters. Crim is utterly, unapologetically and insanely patiently in love with Tish, and it's just the kind of relationship one fantasizes about. He understands her, and is able to deal with all her flaws and dumb or annoying choices and demands. He never tries to change her, or force her to do anything she doesn't want or isn't ready to do. Yeah, it's fiction! We all know the real world doesn't usually work like that, but it is SO MUCH FUN to occasionally visit a world where it DOES work like that and pretend.

All the supporting characters in this world are also delightful and fun - I recommend all the novellas set in this world as well! - and really add to the overall entertainment value of the stories.

There has been nothing about any of the books set in this world that I didn't love. I'm only sorry that it has to end. But at least it ended in the best possible way!

Tish and Criminy finally got their Wicked Ever After in the last full installment of the Blud series. Now, Steampunk novels are known for being adventurous, but this duo’s crazy journey brought the genre to new and exciting heights.

“Criminy?” I whispered, and the door opened quietly as he slipped in.
“What do you wish, love?” His voice was a sweet whisper in the dark…
“Just hold me,” I said. “Make it right again.”

First off, I highly suggest reading at least Tish and Criminy’s story in book one, Wicked as They Come, before this book or you won’t have a true sense of who they are and what they’ve been through together. Secondly, I know Steampunk is not for everyone. But if you’re a fan of the genre, then I think this entire Blud series is definitely worth a go. Delilah S. Dawson has created an intriguing world full of absolutely compelling characters.
