I decided to read this book for fun. I was pleasantly surprised by the story. It was so charming. Before I knew it, I had shed a little tear for the protagonist. What I loved was the fact that the main character grew and took positive steps forward, despite the unusual challenges she faced. Her love interest was endearing and quite likable. I was glad to see them come to some sense of resolution.

I didn't feel a connection to the characters or their love story. Also, the fmc really irritated me with how mean she was to William.

3.5 - an entertaining YA fake dating romance between a Brazilian pop star/singer songwriter and an up and coming British actor trying to garner positive social media attention. Light hearted on the surface this book also touched on identity issues and being true to yourself as Natalie struggles to be a Latina in an entertainment industry that keeps trying to whitewash her image. William, a bisexual teen was a super sweet book boyfriend just trying to make money to support his large family. Feelings get real quickly between the two but Natalie has to figure out whether fame or love matters most and whether she can possibly have both.

Recommended for fans of Red, white & royal blue or While we were dating.

did i read this because the title is very similar to the best selena gomez song? maybe.
this book was a fun and quick read, i loved the celebrity fake dating trope. i also love the fact that the chapters actually have titles, which doesn't appear in books as much anymore for some reason.
