what the hell, walt !!
this was so unnecessary and i did not enjoy it — you’re gay and enjoy death, we get it! you don’t need a million pages to explain that.

whitman is famous i get that and ppl love his work but i personally hated this. i understand it’s about democracy and life and death but holy shit it wouldn’t end. this could’ve been trimmed down into like 2 pages.

I really like Whitman's style of writing poetry. I get why Professor Keating from Dead Poets Society seems to be kind of obsessed with him. But at the same time, I sit here wondering how I ended up reading something by a questionable dead man, who was probably a paedophile, yet again (I read Lewis Carroll's two Alice books last year). I'm glad I got back into reading poetry. It's fun. But I think I'll read poetry by actually cool people for a while.
Minor: Death, Racism, Sexual content, and Violence
