If I could give this book six stars, I absolutely would. I finished this in a day. I laughed, cried, and freaked out MULTIPLE times. I love you Saxon games

Funny, very entertaining, and sorta of spicy. Or I should say spicy enough for a 400+ page book.

I did find their banter, so funny and very swoon worthy. I loved it when they interacted together and when they were pining for each other while being together.

I wish there was more karmic justice for both of them when it comes to their family, or I kind of wish we saw the karmic justice, but it was good no matter.

This was fine, kind of meh. The slapstick humor didn't work for me, the characters are forgettable, the story is predictable. The narrators are mostly fine, with one notable exception—James Joseph's voice for Christian's dialogue is atrocious. I think he was trying to make Christian's insecurity come through in his voice, but he just sounds whiny and unnatural, almost like a cartoon villain. On top of that, his American accent is not good. Teddy Hamilton's English accent for Émile isn't great, either, but it's not nearly as annoying. I've enjoyed both narrators in the past, which is why I wanted to listen to this in the first place, so it's a bummer that the character voices detracted so much from my enjoyment.

This is the second time I've tried Saxon James and I'm pretty sure her books are just not for me. Which is a shame because she has so many audiobooks on Hoopla! I may still try the Puckboys or Frat Wars series, since those are so popular, and I want to give James at least one more shot.
