Libby Kindle. I always find it hard to rate memoirs because this was his journey, story, life experience. I just felt this was long and dragged in parts.

This book was such a heartbreaking and emotional read for me. The innocence and tenacity with which Zamora navigated this harrowing and impossible journey at a mere 9 years old is remarkable. The way that the adult Zamora transported us to his nine year old self was incredible and effective- we saw and felt everything he went through from his nine year old eyes. And what he went through was unimaginable for so many of us. This book should be required reading for all.
