Charming single-sitting read.

I got so confused at the first mention of Billie Eilish and cell phones, because I really thought they were older than me. It wasn’t until I got to the end that I found out it was fictionalized and set now-ish.

Personally I would have enjoyed it more if it were fully about them, but I’m sure it’s useful to queer kids now.

"I never thought about how it would feel to have someone really important in my life who isn't you."

Great graphic novel for the middle school crowd. Lightly touches on puberty, first crushes but mostly discusses complicated friend dynamics. Basing it on T&S meant the internal dialogue could really be a conversation. Love that. Looking forward to book 2!
