I devoured books 1-3, but this book? It really disappointed me. I wasn't sold on Hartley, and the story line didn't really jive with me. I didn't like way the author kept giving us negative outlooks on the twins and Lauren's story - this book isn't about them, and it added to the disjointed feeling this book had. The way big secrets were revealed in this book were messy and not well planned. I'm sad that I have no interest in the next book because this series had such a strong start.

✒️ SNEAK PEEK REVIEW ✒️
Oh Easton Royal how confused and broken art thou. You are wanted by many but mainly your title is what they seem to be after. No matter how much of a prick you can be there is that one girl, that Hartley girl that seems to press your buttons and get to you in a way you can least explain it and take you to an unknown place. The question is...how far will you fall and will it be worthwhile at the end???

What the fuck Easton?
Also, authors, what the fuck ? Are you trying to kill me?
I can't give it five stars because i was so pissed at Easton the entire book. Although there were parts where i felt sorry for him, i feel like there were no parts where he was actually right.
Can't really speak on Hartley because i feel like i don't know her very well. She doesn't fall prey to the Royal charm and i loved her for it but i mean... It wasn't enough to endear her to me. I need her head.

I really wasn't up for it at all when I saw that it was a book about Easton since I was just looking for a bool comfort on Ella and Reed but I gave it a chance and well finally it's fine even if I I had a lot more trouble attaching myself to the characters.
I still read it relatively quickly, the writing style is still just as fluid and the new character is very interesting.
The ending is a fucking cliffhanger too.

, Easton's troubles explain very well his abused attitude at times and it's really sad to see that there is no improvement in his addictionsThe ending is a fucking cliffhanger too.

"I'm the flaw in the design of the Royal Family."
Continuing to binge this series on Audible, and I'm obsessed. This has been by far my favorite book of the series - Easton is one of the most flawed of the brothers, and I adore Hartley! Their connection is so real, raw, and I didn't want to encourage it, but I think they are good for each other after all. Her family is just as messed up as the Royals.

Why did I enjoy the first three books in the series so much?? This part is a duet of books 4 and 5, so it ends on a cliffhanger! Eason is the entitled, rich, bad boy that wants Hartley but she wants nothing to do with him. Hartley has been shunned by her family and the two of them go back and forth with their attraction. I was seriously annoyed with how entitled Eason came off in this story but the cliffhanger end is what is going to make me read book 5.

Meh. I liked Easton better when I didn't know his internal dialogue.

I love these books. I do. I will admit that at any time and any place. I will yell it from rooftops. Skyscrapers. Anything. The Royals are my guilty pleasure and I don't care what any one thinks or says about it.
And Fallen Heir was no exception. It was incredible. With just enough drama, angst, and humor I was grossly hooked and I read it all in less than 12 hours. I couldn't put the book down, as per usual when it comes to the The Royal Series. I could not look away. What was going to happen next?
Easton was one of my favorites in the first three books so having a book about him all to myself was the cherry on top of an already yummy Royal cake. Seeing him deal with the internal struggle of having actual feelings was everything that I had hoped it would be. And his struggles with Hartley was even better. I was drooling. Where was this all going to go?
I don't know Erin Watt does it, but they do it. And they bring it every time. And they leave me wanting more and more. And now I have to wait until January for the next one. And how is that even fair?

I think the main thing that stood out for me was Easton. Easton Easton Easton. Just give me Easton and I'll be more than happy with my life. I really like the series so far and that ending was so heartbreaking..I can't wait to see what happens next!
