I have to admit, I have become a bit jaded about ARCs. When I opened this book, I read the first line or two and sat up a little straighter. An ARC of poetry that doesn't suck? Could it really be?

Not only does it not suck, it's pretty fantastic. The Wizard of Oz theme had the potential to be gimmicky, and it's not, it's perfect. These pieces are polished. They are sophisticated, enjoyable, lyrical. Without Dorothy's biggest fault is that it's so brief. I'll definitely keep an eye out for more from this author.

This one is worth your time. Take it from someone who has read a LOT of stuff that isn't.
