Like most everything Patagonia publishes, this book opens your eyes to the world, its creatures, its crises, and its beauties. The author excels when describing his time with his friends and family, and when setting forth in mouthwatering detail the meals fashioned from his gardens and his visits to the sea. Highly recommended, short essays that warm the soul the same way Wendell Berry does.
