With this only hitting the 4 star mark this is has been the weakest of the series so far for me, and the only reason for that is that this was a much slower start than the previous two. It felt like there was a lot of build before we headed out onto the quest.
When we did get to the quest this had everything that I’ve come to love about Percy Jackson, fast paced, great characters and fantastic plot twists. The ending of this book was incredible, it kept me on my toes and I didn’t want to put it down. In fact I did the last 100 or so pages in one sitting.
I’m taking a little break from the series now having binge read the first three books.
