In this third book taking place in the world of Solace, the Iron War between the Dragonfly Territories and the Kingdom of Merrow is finally over. The people are now working together on the first air ship that will take them to the Uncharted Lands. Stella's parents are both healers who are asked to accompany the party on their mission. Fearing that she may never see them again, Stella (an accomplished alchemist in her right) stows away on board. She is surprised to find Cyrus, another stowaway, with special powers of his own. They form an uneasy friendship until they discover that someone is sabotaging the ship. Their friendship grows stronger as the danger grows greater. Can they find the saboteur before he ends the mission? The lives of everyone on board are in their hands. An exciting adventure! It is not necessary to have read the other two, but it helps. Recommended for grades 4 & up.

- the story was cute.
- i liked stella and cyrus's friendship.
- it was nice to see the other books come together in this book. i liked the cameos.
- the writing was a bit off at times, but this is a middlegrade book, so that's okay.
- i liked the tech included in the story. i wish this book was longer so the world could have been explored more.

Pretty good on its own, but I can't help comparing to Mark of the Dragonfly which was amazeballs.

This book was interesting. Overall the series was good. Alas the characters and locations are all different, to be honest I loved the Mark of the Dragonfly book the best, the characters I liked more than the others. So I actually was dreading reading this book, and the beginning was slow, but I'm glad I stuck through because the ending is really good. Of all things the only way these books are related is the world they live in, and they're all romance stories over time. Which don't get me wrong is really cute but a bit repetitive. I'm glad I read the series though, and I do think that the world is very interesting and the stories was well written, it just wasn't my cup of tea.
