some of the dialogue is so sappy it makes me want to vomit. I do want to know what happens but i just don't know if I can take the stupid things Cal says.
The characters are a bit one dimensional too.

On the second book, I am really outgrowing the Teen books. I am however, enjoying these books. They do keep you interested and so far are not so predictible.

Getting further into Morgan's story as she tries to learn about her birth family. The relationship between Morgan and Cal seems weirdly forced. There just isn't enough known about Cal to make him a note worthy character.

I would say 3.5 stars...
I liked this book much better than the first. Cal creeps me out a bit, he acts like a know it all, but considering he's the only experienced person in this high school coven, I suppose that's to be expected. My same problems about the series remain, in terms of information regarding Wicca, but otherwise the series is developing nicely.
This book focuses primarily on character development, which is really to be expected with a second in the series novel. There are some major plot developments, also, but the build up and aftermath of them are slow, meant to give you insight into the characters with how they respond, and set up events for the next book.
I predict the next in this series is pretty fast paced, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

Finished part two and I'm not going to make a big review about this.
I still hate Bree. I still think about their friendship as weird. As I explained before: If you are truly friends for such a long time, how could you throw it away that easily for a guy. For god sake.. although it's a handsome one. Now way I'll dump my best friend because she is also a part of my world. I don't think I can go on without her (technically speaking!). It would be a weird world if my best friend would not be my best friend anymore.
Back to Morgan. She develops now. Which I like about her. I mean she is not the softy anymore. She shows Bree the pentacle (unfortunately Bree shows her the ball from close up) and she demands her parents to tell her about her past (something I would have done) besides she says or tells her parents to accept that Wicca is a part of her and that she is a witch.
From this moment on I begin to dislike Mary K. She is the good-good one but she doesn't care about any other opinion than her own. With Baker for example. She forgives him? Really!? I wouldn't. Oh hell no. And with Morgan. She doesn't want her to do wicca or do anything mean against their family. She wants to be a family. Well in my opinion. If you want to be a family you as little sister must accept the fact that your big sister (who is adopted) wants to know about her birth mother and wants to practice on the inheritance she get and that's Wicca. So Mary K. grow up you annoying fourtheen you old!
The introduction of my favourite characters are here! Hunter Niall and Sky Eventide. Though I have to admit that when I read it for the first time.. they weren't my favourite people immediately. That's the convincing writing of Tiernan and the fact that you read it through the eyes of Morgan. You dislike them as much as she does.
The only two things I don't understand is what Cal tells Morgan in chapter eleven if I'm right (or ten). He says that his father left his mother for another woman back in Northen England. We will know later in book seven or eight this man is Daniel Niall.
However Cal says that Fiona had a son around his age from another marriage. That Daniel and Fiona had two kids later together. However that would mean that Daniel Niall is not Hunter Niall his dad.. I'm looking into the future of things. My friend said: I just shouldn't believe Cal Blaire.
Which is the other thing: Selene Belltower and Daniel Niall get a son. And call him Cal.. but where the hell did the surname Blaire came from?

I like them. Guilty pleasure read for sure. But I'll finish the series I'm sure.
