Lauren's writing through the first 50% was enjoyable I was flying through it and then came the next 50% this patch was very dry and slow, I couldn't make myself to read it because as soon as the two characters got together it got so boring that I did not want to read and by the time we got to the end I just skimmed.
For the characters I hated Zahra. She got on my nerves so much. I just wanted to smother her because would you pls shut up and act like anything but a 2 yo???
Rowan was a complex character what he did was flawed but also understandable considering his past and his upbringing. His past relationships weren't easy on him either and what he did was in a way justified but I'm really glad he came off clean and told the truth.

Honestly I really enjoyed the banter and the fluff moment between the two. It was a great balance for me seeing as I am not a fan of spicy scenes.
The plot ended on a very very sweet note and the characters were loveable.
I did have to fast forward past some pages for the sake of not wanting to read some scenes, but I still enjoyed my reading. I’d say Ms Asher has gained another fan!
And as a women of color it was a privilege to hear about a protagonist with BROWN skin. Ugh , we love a queen who stands for inclusion! Thank you Lauren !!!
I look forward to the next brothers story!

I liked this! I’m usually not a fan of an mmc that’s overly rude and just an ass, but I enjoyed this one. I’m excited for the next in the series
