1 edition graphic novels always leave me wanting more. The stories are always wrapped up so quickly and lack substantial character development, in my opinion. Morgan and Selkie are wonderful characters and their relationship is adorable. I can see myself reading it again and recommending it to others. Overall I wish there was more but I enjoyed what I have.

I read this all in one sitting because I just could not put this precious little treat down. This story is so sweet and packs so many relatable themes into such a swift package.
There’s really something every reader can relate to within these pages, whether it’s challenging friendships, coping with divorce, discovering oneself, and much more. There are so many valuable lessons Ostertag touches on and every single one of them touched my heart during this bittersweet, yet hopeful read.
As usual, Ostertag’s art is visually stunning. I find the way she plays with colors (or lack of color) really interesting. And the way she drew Keltie’s eyes?? Amazing.
I’m very glad I read this and look forward to recommending it to others.
Special thanks to Edelweiss+ and Graphix for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
