I have expressed concern that this series is pulling a Lost and raising more mysteries than it answers, but this and volume 5 are proving me wrong. Both major mysteries (what's the deal with the time traveler's war?) and minor mysteries (why were the teen time travelers looking for a hint in the comics and the Frankie Tomatah mystery) are revealed, plus, we get the first character outside of the four main paper girls to stick around for more than one volume (aka 5 issues of the comic when it was initially released). Volume 5 does more with the questions, but volume 4 puts most of its time into the characters. Tiffany's future is a bit darker than what she anticipated, and KJ is mentioning the vision she had of her and Mac kissing. The bits with Tiffany were funny. I'm not totally sold on Mac and KJ as a couple. I've never been a big fan of belligerent tension in couples, and the fact that Mac says a lot of homophobic shit, including after KJ mentions she might be a lesbian, makes this kind of uncomfortable.
