Reads pretty quickly and the setting is depressingly not too hard to imagine happening. Dystopia isn't really my thing, in part because the tension is constant and uncomfortable. So, this book accomplished that very well. But it also felt like we bounced around a lot since the characters were constantly on the move and didn't get more than a cursory understanding of any one place/thing. Liked Fen a lot, Daniel was kind of ehh.

See this shelved a bunch as YA but it doesn't feel like a YA novel to me. Content warning for assault and rape of a child. Also several instances of casual fatphobia.
