Promising premise but not executed well. Appropriation of Native terms such as "tribes" and "powwow" didn't sit well with me. Neither did the separation of Asian people into their own section of Orleans because the Delta Fever affected them differently for some reason? And the attempt at creating a pidgin language of Asian languages was in poor taste. I was really looking forward to this book and was disappointed to see it fall short.
