A lot of sex scenes which was fun and cute in the first book, but starts to get tiring after reading it every other page it felt like. I loved the storyline of the first book, which is what made me want to read the second Crossfire book. However, the more I read, the more I thought it was too repetitive. Gideon and Eva has a toxic cycle of fighting one minute and be all over each other the next. I would’ve finished the series if it had more plot and less sex and arguing.

Graphic erotica that I was forced to read by a friend - a shamefully addictive series.

So I read the book and listened to the audiobook. Fairly easy read.

I liked the story line BUT i find it very skippy.

I mean, the incidents that lead to the other event was short and doesn't have an impact on me (comparing to Fifty Shades of Grey). I don't feel any internal turmoil when shit hit the ceiling in the book.

But there's no denying that I like Gideon & Eva's relationship. What he did was fucked up but sweet too.

I'm listening to the 3rd book now and it unfold quite nicely.

I just can't finish this book.
I have never hate any main characters as much as i hate these two. They unreasonably fight all the time and they always solve it with sex. I know that both of them have a difficult past but for the love of god just stop.
Gideon is the worst man on fiction earth for sure. Normally i am totally okay with an Alpha male character being overly protective but this guy is insane, his woman can barely breath like a normal person.
Eva has such a low self esteem, she gets jealous with every girl and why would she always think about his ex while being with him. She just too easy to lets a men control her life while she said that she hates being controlled. B*tch, please!
Their relationship is so bad for both of them.
Last but not least, is it possible to have that much sex crave, am I the only one think it weird or that is absurd ?

Eva and Gideon's connection is unlike another, it is written in such a way that it doesn't come across as a fairytale, but as a real couple with real issues and real baggage. What I love about this series is that not only are their scenes steamy and hot but there is an actual story that pulls you in and you get can get lost in this make believe world. While i was reading this book I found myself racing to find out what came next for Gideon and Eva! Looking forward to book number 3.
