If this book was not written by Ruth Ware I would have given her 1.5 stars.
It is ridiculously long and predictable and literally nothing happens till the last chapter. And then, as if everyone else is a moron and there's only one light in the universe, she solves it all....

I enjoyed it, but felt like the first half of the book draaaaaagggggggged onnnnnnn. I just wanted to get to the suspense and I didn't really feel it until maybe 40% through, and even then, it wasn't constant.

I did however LOVE the audiobook reader. Honestly the only reason I kept going. The voice she had for the characters I think were done very well.

Somewhat of spoilers just so I can remember for book club…

I thought I knew who the killer was the whole time, and I thought this was going to be an unreliable narrator situation for a while. I enjoyed it but wasn’t swept away, so I’d say about a 3.75

I like the vibes and the setting, the audiobook is really well done, but this book is LONG and SLOW! I’m just not interested enough to finish the second half.
