One of my favorite books of all time. Easily my favorite YA. Holly Jackson is an instant read author for me, and this was my first. This review is actually from my 3rd time reading it.

I absolutely love the story, the characters, and the suspense. Pip is a homework loving nerd who decides she wants to use her senior project as a way to shed some light on a local murder from 5 years ago. As she delves deeper into the secrets of the two teens involved in the alleged murder-suicide, her own obsession with the case and the anonymous threats that begin showing up start to prove dangerous. Will she find the answers she’s looking for? Does she even know what the truly is yet?

Great book, great group of small town living characters, the mysteries pile on and the twists somehow keep coming and yet always keep you guessing.

I could not put this book down. Written in two perspectives: the narrator and Pip's senior project notes; I often found myself reading well past the "just one more chapter" mantra that I was telling myself.

Pip is a high school senior and for her senior project, she's decided to solve the murder of Andie Bell.

Well... the term "solve the murder" might be a little misleading. You see, the police have already solved the murder. It was the boyfriend (Sal) - always is, right? But Pip just doesn't buy it. She knew Sal growing up and he was far from the murdering type.

As Pip uncovers layers of truth - and more lies from her suspects - she starts to piece things together. Painting us a picture of who Andie really was and what she was doing with each of the suspects in the weeks leading up to her disappearance.

I am blown away that this is Holly Jackson's first published novel. And very excited to learn that this book is one of three. Already have the other two on hold at the library. Perfect for the spooky season lover or murder mystery connoisseur.
