Ok this book surprised me. Not my favorite of the series but it was a good book. It had some dark and heavy subjects but I think they were handled in a good way. Mental health was a big thing in this book and I think that Lauren was able to represent chronic anxiety very well. Chronic illness was also a main topic in this book and it surprised me, I didn’t expect this but I think it was a great thing plot wise. I think that it brought good conversations about therapy and medication management. I think that Jax was struggling a lot and it is very clear his development throughout the story. I struggled a bit with connecting with him, he was very annoying at some points but at the end of the day I liked his character, just not in the way I was expecting, and definitely not like Noah, Santiago and Liam. The way he handled some things was questionable and I think that’s why I struggled with his character. Elena was for me the best part of the book. She is such a strong MMC and such a great character overall. She had a very rough childhood and we can see how much she struggled with that but also was able to heal throughout the book. Something I didn’t not like about the book was the stereotypes that were placed in Elena and her family, it just didn’t fit with me and it pissed me off at some times. I do think not everyone would like this book, but there’s not much I could say about it. It’s just a book that you have to read and discover yourself and not based it off only on reviews. I would read it again if I were to read the whole series.

this book got me fucked up. literally got emotionally wrecked from the first page to the last. the extended epilogue wrecked me even further. i'm a mess now.

I don’t need a happy ending. I need our ending. The one that might be messy and imperfect, but exclusively ours.

it was almost five stars but some parts felt like it was being dragged too long. that being said, i very much loved reading this book and really want to protect elena and jax from everything.

I loved this book and how it dealt with the growth of characters along with their romance

My ratings for the rest of the series: Throttled - 5☆, Collided - 4☆, Redeemed - 5☆

I didn't think any of the other books in the series would top Throttled for me but I think this did. I liked both main characters a bit more which surprise me. Elena just feels a little bit more dynamic and flushed out than Maya and we got to see much more character development in Jax than Noah. I still love Maya and Noah though of course.

I will say it felt a bit predictable to me but since this isn't a mystery or thriller where it's important for plot twists and developments to stay mysterious, I didn't really mind.

I appreciated the character development of Jax mostly of course but also the character development of Elena. I think it can be hard to show already mature and responsible characters mature further but Elena did.

Overall, I just really enjoyed their dynamic and story. I appreciate how their "ending" deviated from Noah & Maya and Liam & Sophie. They keep their unique dynamic which I appreciate.

5 million stars!!! This was so good! This book wrecked me lol. I loved every second of reading Jax and Elena's story. This was every and more. Them bonding over their troubles but fighting through them together was so heartwarming and heartbreaking at once. I loved everything about this. It was heavy but so amazing from the dedication to the last page. I loved every side character so much as well especially Caleb. I loved that no one was problematic. Jax and Elena deserve the world <3
