A humorous look at working WITH our differences and finding our strengths. Fun language usage also.

This series is so clever! They are fun to read, silly in just the right ways, and all have such a great theme. Smart Cookie fills right in, and I love the message of how everyone is smart in their own way!

Another fun installment in the Bad Seed series that follows a cookie who doesn't feel so smart in the beginning of the story and lacks confidence. She wasn't the cookie who got the best grades, or could say the answers the quickest, but with the help of a wonderful teacher, smart cookie finds out her interests and what she's really good at. Hint: it's not just one thing but it turns out to be many! Once again, John nailed this new edition with a message of hope, perseverance, and teaching kids everywhere that there a variety of things we can all be good at and that it's okay if we aren't good at everything. As always, I love John's play on words and he remains one of my favorite authors to date.

We (including my 8&9 year old sons) love this whole series so much and The Smart Cookie was so good! It was about trying new things until you find YOUR thing. Heartwarming, sweet, and filled with amazing illustrations! Highly recommend!
