I don’t know how to write this review. I think this series so far is well written, it flows well and I love the characters and feel like I would love some of them as friends. However there are parts where I get bored. I love to binge series but this one is very long, plus each book is long. I feel I might have to break them up, ie listen to something else and then come back to them.
This book had a very little bit of spice, like half a chilli.
They books could possibly be read as stand-alone but they do run together and refer back to the first.
I will listen to the next and then see if I am ready for a break.

3.5 stars. A little bit better than the first, but the character still is annoying me, making stupid decisions.

I would like these books better if the main character wasn't so annoying. She's impulsive and frankly, kind of stupid. I could handle the impulsiveness if she was ever right in her assumptions, but she's usually wrong. I really like the other characters and the world building so I'll probably keep reading this series even though I'm constantly yelling "No! Don't do it!" at my Kindle.

I got a bit more than halfway through this book before putting it down and concluding it was not worth my time. They kept introducing more and more different plot points and I could tell that it was just not going to wrap up in a nice way

Where to start, where to start.....this book had a heinous villain and at times Ms Harrison had me looking away from the true villain. And oy were there twists and turns in this book. I loved it!! I loved it!! I loved it!!

I found myself dreaming that I was Rachel Morgan while reading this book and that the one guy that I truly believed was the bad guy was torturing me. I never have nightmares, it was bad enough that I woke my husband up. I will say that obviously this book struck a nerve, but then I got further and well I found out that the man I feared wasn't quite so scary and I felt really stupid. No, these books are not scary not by a long shot. They are rather humorous but I think that they are so well written that the character I thought was so "evil" actually seemed real to me.

I look so forward to continuing this series.

Some things about this series keep me from rating it higher, but regardless I liked this enough to probably read the next book
