To be honest, I have been a little hesitant to read this book as sometimes, I don't particularly like the idea of your 'soul mate', the person you are destined to be with. Now, you are probably thinking "What is wrong with you, girl!?" but I do have a valuable reason, I find it can at times make the characters relationship appear fake. But, I decided to brave it and read with an open mind as I have heard so many amazing things about it... and I really did enjoy it. The cover is really delicate, the way the vines intertwine and with eachother gave a feel of their souls finally finding one another and their crossing paths.

Sky Bright doesn't remember anything of her past, its a blank canvas. All she remembers is being left on the side of the road at the age of six, scared to say a word for she might bring those who left her running back. Sky and her parents, whom of which adopted her at the age of ten, take a big step in their lives and a new fresh start to move from London to Wrickenridge in the United States. Sky settles in quickly but also makes an enemy, Zed. Having a reputation as a bad boy is like an escape for Zed, keeping under the radar so no-one gets in his way. But Sky puts on her big girl boots and stands up to him in ways no one else would dare. But, when Zed feels the spark, he knows what she is... however, Sky is oblivious to it. With Sky feeling Zed is being over protective because of his premonition and his first attempt of him trying to explain to her who she really is, they must take it slow. But is time really on their side or will Zeds premonition attack out-of-the-blue?

Sky really surprised me. She is a very delicate character who has been through a lot in her life at such a young age. She spends time locking away her gifts in an attempt to convince herself she is just hallucinating and imagining it. I also like the way she produces some situations in her mind as a comic strip and manga, turning all those around her into superhero's or villains, such as Zed being Wolfman, which seems to help her cope with some events. She also surprised me by not believing anything about her and Zed being 'Soulfinders' and the way she didn't allow that fact to cloud her real feelings for him. She was adamant that she needed time to think things through of which I gave her great respect for as she didn't just believe it all and jump into his arms with a snap your fingers. She held it out and was very stubborn, so got to know him first instead of 'jumping the gun'. She is a lovely sweet and shy character and its nice to see her character evolve more throughout the story and see her self belief rise.

Zed is a very strange character. He does exactly the opposite of Sky, he 'jumps the gun'. Straight away after realising they are 'meant to be', he immediately hounds her with questions and love, but doesn't realise until a little later on... she doesn't have a clue and doesn't care about any of it. He seems to come to terms with this quickly though, and agrees to give her the space and time she needs to think about it instead of rushing into it. He is also very overprotective, however, that does come from his premonition of her being attacked meaning he is constantly watching her to keep her out of harms way which is sweet, in his own way. His relationship with Sky is really cute and you can see their chemistry start to build over time. Its also nice to witness his character relax more, meaning others and also Sky seem to notice which shows he is making a big effort to change.

I really liked the idea of a Savant and the way they link into a secret department of the FBI. Also the way they are heroes, bringing criminals to justice! They have the common powers that most supernaturals have such as telepathy and seeing into the future, but it was a brilliant new idea and provided a clear view into the life of a Savant. However, the idea wasn't as original, however, it was imaginative and did contain some funny scenes and quip comments. I really enjoyed this book as it put you on edge a little knowing about Zed's premonition and when it will strike, but also the criminal side of the story was interesting and the way the species of a Savant gets twisted into the kidnapping. It is also much darker than you first anticipate...

I recommend this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series Stealing Phoenix, where adorable Yves finds his 'Soulfinder'.

Dnf. 192 pages in. Nice easy read but didnt see the point of finishing this book as storyline didnt appeal to me that much. Quite cliche. But recommend if you like twilight. However I can see why this would appeal to teens it isn’t a bad book it just wasn’t for me.

Sadly, this book wasn’t for me and I had a hard time reading it.

The whole storyline in the beginning was absurd, sometimes unknown words were used, making it hard to read and understand what the author meant by that.

This is the second time I tried to read this book and did not finish it since it was boring and I wasn’t liking it at all.

Finding Sky is so nostalgic to me. This might be the 3rd time I’ve read it and I can’t express how much I love this story; it was one of the first books that completely transported me into the world of books. I adore the Benedict family and how welcoming they were to Sky, even when they didn’t know about her connection to Zed! My favourite scene in the book is when Sky manages to get through Victors shields around the Benedict family’s house because she wanted to get to Zed. Zed realising it was Sky was too good. So yeah, 5 stars every single time I read Finding Sky, I can never get enough.
