Lati positivi:
- struggimenti amorosi e intrighi politici (soft)

This book wasn't great but it wasn't bad.

It took a really long time for any real action to happen and that severely diminished my liking of this book.

I did enjoy the many twists in the book though although if I had simply read the info the author had provided at the beginning there wouldn't have been quite as many. lol.

I liked Brienna as a MC. She was strong and smart. She was also able to change throughout the book.

I was kind of hoping she would end up Queen but I'm happy she didn't. She might not have been able to be with Cartier then!

I dnfed this book because I know it will not exceed the three stars and I wasn't motivated to pick it up again.

I liked the audiobook. I recommend it.All the relations between the sisters were beautiful.I loved the relation with master Cartier as well.I liked the little romance here as well .

After that I wasn't interested. The story took anotyer turn.Maybe,I'll read it someday but not now.

More of 4.5, I will say that I think the romance wasn't entirely necessary, or that it easily could have been lesbian queens, but I also didn't hate the romance. It was just kind of...there.

What an unexpected, great story! I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this and it didn’t catch me until a little further in but it was so good. The writing is wonderful and captivating, and the characters were so great. I enjoyed that it wasn’t about just Brienna but also her relationships and friendships with the people around her. There is romance, it’s a sub plot but it was very sweet. The story finishes like this is a stand-alone but I wouldn’t mind different stories about the other characters in this world. I’ll be keeping an eye out for anything else by this author. The only thing that weirded me out was the world had days like ours— Monday, Tuesday, etc.. which felt strange to me. But then again, I don’t know the origin of those names so maybe that’s normal? It just seemed off in a fantasy world.
