I loved this book even more than Zodiac Academy! Elise is just a badass and the Kings each have great (though psychotic) personalities and I’m here for it! Gabriel will forever be my favorite though.

Here’s the thing - when you open these authors’ books, you know what you’re gonna get. There will be fragmented sentences, incorrect grammar and punctuation, and repeated sentences/paragraphs. The characters are hard to tell apart because there’s no distinction in their voices. It’s not perfect (no one is), but at least you know what to expect from these books. I enjoyed the trash (and I say this lovingly) that is the zodiac academy series. I enjoyed this. It’s nothing special but it has potential, I’m looking forward to more steam, and I am fully aware the plot will drag until the end of the entire series but will be resolved. Still, I enjoy this world and will obviously keep reading for the smut.

I am really enjoying the world's Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti have created! This book has a similar vibe to zodiac academy but it's a darker, wrong side of the tracks kind of storyline.

Elise, whose brother was killed, will stop at nothing to find his killer. Problem is, she thinks it's one of the four kings at the academy.

I can't wait to start book two to see what happens next.
