They were so cute and I love the development. But why did she burn all the memories???

"Sometimes you have to toss the map and fly by the seat of your trousers."

This book was a bit deeper and emotional than I expected. However, I loved it! I love the idea of the journey, versus the destination, and how the people you meet and experiences you encounter can help a person grow, learn, and recover. Throw expectations out the window, and live in the moment. If we did that, we would all discover wonderful moments!

The character development in this book was one of the reasons I liked this book. Anna and Keane are very likeable characters. It was interesting reading Anna's point of view as she struggled with moving past the grief she felt over the loss of her fiancé. I appreciated her courage to embark on this journey. Keane was sweet, positive, and a good person. He has his own tragic accident to deal with. Together, they help each other heal.

This was my first Trish Doller novel but it won't be my last! I look forward to reading more of her books.

Have you ever just wanted to run away to sun and the wide open sea? This book a sweet romantic story about moving on from past traumas. The author painted beautiful landscapes with her words which brought me such calm and piece and made me want to plan a trip. It was a quick read that I finished in 2 days, definitely the perfect beach read.

This is one of my favorite books (reviewing after my third reading). I agree with some of the criticisms about the ending being a little pat, but to me that isn’t really the point; if the ending is disappointing you may have been watching the wrong journey. Also, I kept a browser window open to a maps site to look up all the settings; I’d love to retrace Anna’s journey.

I listened to the audiobook about to the 80% mark before my hold expired. I finished it in paperback. It's a beautiful story.

I enjoyed every bit of this book. It's about Anna who's dealing with her fiance's suicide. She makes the split second decision to go the sailing trip her fiance planned. The trip helps her heal and discover what she wants. It's a cute story. I'm looking forward to read more by this author

A short, sweet(ish) read. One of the best moments was at the end when the heroine told the hero that she had learned that she could live without him, but didn't want to. Snaps all around for heroine owning her independence.

The premise of this book was interesting and quite depressing at times, but in a cathartic way? The heroine is dealing with the death of her fiancee via suicide (I don't think that's a spoiler, they talk about it pretty quickly in the book...). I thought that the portrayal of her grief and anger was pretty realistic.

I also really liked the way the heroine and hero evolved from strangers, to friends, to love interests. It wasn't insta-love, which would have been hard to swallow with all the grief she is dealing with.

I also added a lot of Caribbean islands to my "want to go" places that weren't on my list before after reading about them.
