I really liked this book! I loved the banter and the push pull between the two main characters! I will be reading the second!

I was bowled over and hanging onto that cliff with everyone else at the end of DIRTY FILTHY RICH BOYS, and could not wait to get my hands on this book. And, as if there was any question, Laurelin Paige killed it with DIRTY FILTHY RICH MEN, and I could not have been more thrilled.

Laurelin can write the heck out of an alpha man, but she has gone above and beyond with Donovan Kincaid. I think that his picture is next to the world 'alpha' in the dictionary, because he is one in-charge dude. He's dark, dirty, and delicious, and, despite himself, still plenty hung up on a certain woman from his past.

That woman? That's Sabrina, and the time since her first encounter with Donovan has left her confident, successful, and more than able to handle herself. Time and distance may have given her a chance to grow up and grow into herself, but she's never forgotten, nor gotten over, Donovan, either.

This wouldn't be a Laurelin Paige book without angst, passion, and plenty of sizzle, and she is definitely at her best here. DIRTY FILTHY RICH MEN did the same job of keeping me turning the pages at breakneck speed and had me firmly on the edge of my seat until the very last page as the previous book. Why, you ask? Because there's more, more of this addictive, unputdownable story to be had, and I cannot WAIT. If you're a lover of dark, dangerous, passionate reads, this is a series that needs to be at the top of your TBR. Don't just think about reading these books, get them, devour them, and get ready for a finale that is sure to blow us away. 5 'gotta read these now' stars for a series that is topping my list of best books lately. Do yourself a favor and read these books!

This book is a hard one for me.

While I wanted to set it down multiple times I did still read it all. It’s okay, it could be better.

There’s a few scenes and plot points I didn’t agree with including the SA angle, I don’t think that should ever be a plot point or story focus.
Please read other reviews your mental health matters.

I don’t think this one’s for me, respectfully to the author.

With that being said, aside from what I didn’t like I did really like the story. I felt that there was room for improvement but this was written 5 years ago. Really looking forward to reading her other work.

Bless the day when authors started writing dark romance with ahole alpha men who love control, even when they start to lose it to their heart.

Donovan Kincaid fits that bill to a T. A broody control freak who uses his power and mind to get what he wants, which more often than not is Sabrina Lind. Regardless of how much she tries to stay away from him. In college she was the quiet hard-working girl who people didn't notice, until they did. Ten years later she is totally different and her old crush Weston sees it from the get go. I can't tell if it is Donovan's doing or happenstance that Weston and Sabrina run into each other at the conference but it is obvious when she comes to work for their company that Donovan has no idea what he has gotten himself into. So of course, I loved every minute of it.

It is part of a duology so you get a cliffhanger of sorts. Not a single bit of closure with Sabrina and Donovan or with Weston for that matter. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.

If you have triggers in aggressive sexual situations this read is not for you. Rape fantasy and stalker romance is a main point in this novel. If you are not into dominant men in your romance, this again, is not for you.

This book grew on me. At first I didn’t like the plot development. It was a little wacky and disturbing.

But as the book progressed what I came To enjoy the most is the authors ability to convey tension between the two main characters. Paige is also unique in this book because it’s solely written from the perspective of the female protagonist.

There are clearly some deep seated issues with power and control with Donovan, the male protagonist. He has a disturbing the level of obsession for Sabrina, the female protagonist, while simultaneously keeping her at a distance. Donovan mostly shows power control, manipulation, gaslighting, and crassness. Even though the rational side of me screams “girl, you are in danger RUN!” The irrational side gets the draw between the two characters. There’s a feral connection between the two that works, to some extent. It’s a lot of push and pull, but their connection is magnetic and that’s what Page does well.

Sex: Paige centers sex around a nuanced dom /sub relationship that is very firery and somewhat violent while being oddly consensual. Page is a bit heavy handed with how she centers sex in their relationship.

Fun while you're reading, but nothing unforgettable. Sabrina has no backbone and it becomes so annoying by the end of the book.

I thought I was drawn in with Dirty Filthy Rich Boys, but it was nothing compared to the Dirty Filthy Rich Men. I was already swooning hard for Donovan, but this book just took it to the next level. I fell hard for him, even when I was frustrated with him or frustrated with his behavior. I still couldn't help but love him.

What a crazy exciting roller coaster of a ride this book is. It is a heart pounding, keep you guessing, emotional overload. I could not put it down. I am dying to read more! I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book. I always know that whatever I read from Laurelin Paige, I am going to love and this definitely is right up there with the rest of my favorites of hers.
