I found myself having to push through this book. I ended up giving up on it. Which I really hate doing. Perhaps I'll give it another chance later on.

The description explains what the book is about well and I don't want to spend time expanding on that so lets get straight to the review.

When I first started this book I was unsure if I would like it. Lizzie was kind of annoying and almost self centered when talking to her friend Callie. And when she met Thomas it was definitely going to be an insta-love story. And if you have read any of my other reviews you know that is not my favorite. So I was very happy when the book covered pretty much an entire year. And while they were falling for each other quickly they were together for a couple of months before they told each other they loved each other. And there was no rush into marriage or anything like that.

So even though Lizzie and Thomas’s relationship started quickly I’m glad that we got to see them get to know each other over time. That also gives the reader time to get to know them and become invested in them as a couple.

Thomas and Lizzie were great together. They cared about the interests of the other without losing their own. When they first started dating it seemed like they were letting their own lives be put on hold but thankfully that didn't last long. It was mainly on Lizzie’s side where Callie and her school worked fell by the wayside. But they soon found a balance. It’s refreshing to read about a couple that doesn't have drama every other day.

Thomas was sweet. He listened to what Lizzie was interested in. When he did things for her he kept in mind what she would like. Like when she mentioned that just sitting in a park and reading was something she enjoyed he took her on a date in a park to read. It’s those small things throughout that show what a great guy Thomas is.

If you want a steamy romance then this is not the book to read. We never see anything but kissing. And even then it’s sometimes just a mention of kissing on the couch the night before. I have no problem not having a lot of steam in the book. In fact it is nice to have space to focus on them getting to know each other and not jumping into sex at the beginning. My only issue in this book is that they are eventually in a very serious relationship and with that progression comes a physical progression. I would have like to see them grow in that way together as well. Even if it doesn't show in detail. Or at the very least see Lizzie and Thomas discuss that next step and when they might be ready. It is fine without it but would be more realistic with a discussion at the very least.

There wasn't any one thing that I didn't like enough to bring the book down. It wasn't the best book I have read but is definitely up there. It was a cute romance book and I am glad that there are more books about Lizzie and Thomas. I wasn't sure if it would be about them and I didn't want it to end.

LONDONAS!
Ir po visų sunkių, žiaurių ir

This book is squeeing adorable! The small but bothersome mistakes (factual and grammatical) keep it from being totally perfect, but still worth a read. Lizzy and Thomas are way adorable, and I love their relationship. There's even less suspense than usual in this romance, but it makes up for it by being just plain nice. It's really awesome to be able to read something so sweet for a change. You'll be smiling a lot when reading.

I really loved this book. A simple love story between a boy and a girl hailing from very different backgrounds. I really thought that Thomas was a perfect representation of what i want in the man that ends up with my daughter (I already have that man for myself). Bonus that he is British. I really do love reading about London and the slang they use. It makes me happy.
I enjoyed Lizzie and felt sorry for her that she couldn't stand up to her family in regards to what she wanted.
This really was a very sweet story with little angst but plenty of obstacles for the characters to overcome on the journey to their HEA.
I read that there will be a follow-up book for Lizzie and Thomas and was excited at first but I have to admit I am also a little nervous. I like the way it ended and hope that continuing their story won't ruin them. Of course I'm totally going to read it though. :)

This story really resonated with me. It wasn't the most believable set up ever but it was very sweet and I think the author handled Lizzy's struggle really well. It can be so scary and nerve wracking to find your own way in the world vs what your parents and family want for you.

This was pretty vomit-inducingly romantic. At points it was just a little bit too sickly sweet, and I had to switch out to other things. Light hearted amusement, although it didn't really stand out too much as things go. Some of it was definitely looking at the UK through rose-tinted glasses, and I had to laugh at how 'wonderful' everything was, when it's definitely not quite as sparkly nice as everything's made out to be.
