Loving this series

Penn is ready for his woman. After seeing three of his brothers fall in love, he is ready. When walking down the street, he runs into Lulu, who is running late to her first day at work. This book was amazing. Lulu story was sweet, and Poppy, her daughter, was adorable. We saw all the brothers step up for Lulu and Poppy. I can't wait to see which brother is next.

Penn Barnett has been looking for HIS woman ever since Granger and Alice found love, but when single mum Lulu literally bumps into him on her first day at work he KNOWS that she is the woman that he has been looking for. Therefore he lets his brothers know he has finally found her and practically forces his way into her life and stays at her place of business until he can get more out of the woman he now claims as his.

Lulu has only been in //// Mountain for the last week or two and is shocked and angry at the way that a strange man just pushes his way into her life and claims that she is now HIS woman. However there is something about Penn that also turns all her buttons on and excites her even if it is also terrifying and annoying.

Penn is initially shocked when he find out that not only does his woman have a six month old baby, but lives with the mother of his ex bed partner. However after his initial shock, he just claims the child as his and proceeds to care for for his princess shocking Lulu at a man who just accepts her daughter as his own.

Both Penn and Lulu certainly fight their corners with Penn certainly having more of a temper than previous members of the Barnett family, however he too shows that he will do anything in takes to keep the woman he wants close and letting everyone know that she is his.

I really enjoyed this book and seeing more of the now bigger family dynamic of the Barnetts and seeing the other family members interact and just accept the new members of their family and the brothers constant love, help and support of all of their family members.

As I say on all these reviews -- there is an author's note at the beginning ... don't like alpha-holes? Don't read this book. If you do, Penn is a delightful addition to the brother's stories. I like that we get more of the town's opinions on this Barnett brother affliction and given that they all seem to be good people raised by good people, everyone just rolls with it. Lulu literally runs into Penn on her first day at work and genuinely struggles with being his person.
Given her past with the couple who she was supposed to be a surrogate for and then keeping the baby when they ditched her, I can fully understand her conflict: protect myself and my little one against falling for this mountain man who consumes my thoughts. Add in a crazy pseudo-cousin whose own mother cannot handle her and we've got a wild ride of story.

Full Rating (out of 10 possible): 7.571 (based on a modified CAWPILE system)
Romance level (out of 5 possible): 4 (for on-page, detailed intimacy scenes)

When Penn meets Lulu that’s literally it for him. He knows immediately and of course in true fashion like he lets her know immediately. Lulu, of course thinks he’s insane and wants nothing to do with him, even if part of her does want him and his bossy ways. Penn is determined to prove her wrong in every way she thinks, and wants her and her daughter tied to him forever. We get to see even more of the family in this one, and they help Lulu to come around too. Of course, when certain drama comes up, Lulu has to decide whether she’s going to stay or run, that is if Penn will let her even get that far.
