Unsure. I need to give this one a listen again but I didn't enjoy the pacing. Was hard to care about the characters.

I love a story with a dog as one of the characters. A good fantasy heist story, told in an interesting way, with some solid funny bits of dialogue. However the ending could have had a bigger impact if the author had been just a bit braver.

This book was amazing. The writing is so well done, that it was easy to sit down and then realize 20 pages, 30 pages, 50 pages had gone by with out you noticing. I was so engrossed in the story, I didn't even notice I was reading. I loved the way the author gives us back story and world building, without spending the first third of the book reciting history. I loved all of the characters. This was just everything I would want in a standalone fantasy. I will definitely be checking out more from this author. AND she's from Oregon, which gives her some extra stars from me!
