This is one of the best books of short stories that I have read in a long time. I was impressed by the character and attention she gave each tale. It was very funny. LOVED IT!

I've read this one several times, and I love it. There are 2 stories that reduce me to tears every time.

Short and insubstantial but pleasant.

First of all, this collection of short stories has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the series. None of the characters from the series appear in the stories. The only tie-in so to speak is that they are written by the same person. Second, the stories were less mystery oriented than the series. Some of the stories had a slight element of mystery but most leaned toward ghost stories.
Personally, I am not all that crazy about reading short stories. This collection felt uneven to me. A couple of the stories were pretty good, but most seemed like they never really got going or were ended too quickly. I have trouble writing short stories because of those same reasons. I think Ms. Braun is much better at writing novels than short stories.

My favorite was "The Fluppie(sp?) Phenomenon". Hilarious and cute! ^-^
