I really liked this one, even though I'm not a fan of postmodernist writing. Auster manages to keep you hooked all the way to the end, and his storytelling is fresh with a good twist here and there. Definitely one of the better books I have read this year!

Most of this book is about the protagonist being told the life stories of people that are far more interesting than him, but I couldn't care less about any of it. The writing style was very dry, which only contributed to make the whole thing even more emotionless. I didn't like the protagonist, he was kinda just there making terrible life decisions. This wasn't the worst thing ever, but I just don't care.
