This book made me feel all the feels. Loved both main characters so much. It was a super quick read. I’m excited to watch the movie adaptation that just came out on Netflix!!

EDIT: THE MOVIE HAD ME SOBBING. SO SO CUTE. they did make some changes from the book to movie but it honestly made it more entertaining and flowed really well. I loved all the small details that were included from the book.

This book’s title is almost longer than its text – or maybe I just felt that the book was too short. Yup, that’s probably it! I think I fell for this one mainly because of the cute cover (it was, hum, love at first sight!), but I have to say, what’s under said cover did deliver an adorable story.

I was really impressed by how dimensional the characters were for such a short novel. Hadley especially was well written and I felt like, in that one single day, I got to know her more than some characters from other books with whom I have spent much more time. And while it was really cute to watch her fall in love, it’s her family’s story that really got to me.

By itself, it’s nothing special really; her parents got divorced over a year ago, and now she gets to watch her father get remarried to a woman she has never met. But rather than being portrayed as a complete brat about it, like I have so often seen in other YA novels, Hadley is portrayed as a normal teenager. She’s not perfect, and dealing with both anger and sadness is hard for her; but she also loves her parents and this is what I felt the most through the pages. Her desire to have her “normal” life back, while knowing that she can’t, really broke my heart.

That said, Oliver looked like he was a great catch. He was certainly fun as a secondary character, and while he had a personality of his own, he never stole Hadley’s spotlight. He completed her well and I loved how they could talk about little things and tease each other easily from the beginning. You could sense that it was not only romance, but friendship that was developing between them.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight was a really good book that surprised me by having more depth than I expected it to. Easily read in one sitting, this little book warmed my heart – and I hope it will warm yours too!

While contemporary romance isn't normally my thing, every once in awhile a book will stand out for one reason or another and I'll just have to pick it up. Statistical Probability is one of those I picked up really because of being shamelessly charmed by the name and the cover. Who could pass up such a cute title? I had to know what this was about. It sounded cute even before I picked it up.

And it was cute. It's definitely a sweet book that I could see easily transferring to the perfect "Chick Flick" film. But, it also was just okay as a book. It was good and I read it in one sitting because it's pretty short. It's short because it only spans one twenty-four hour period where Hadley meets a boy in the airport after just missing her flight. Missing her flight turns out to be bigger than it seems because the boy she meets in the airport ends up sitting next to her on her new flight, and I'm sure you can guess from the title what happens next.

While I really love the whole idea of the entire book taking place in just twenty-four hours, for that same reason the love-story between Hadley and Oliver left so much to be desired. It wasn't rushed and it was believable, but it was basically just the spark of the beginning of a relationship. We don't get to really learn how their relationship goes after that spark and sometimes learning how people fit together after that initial interest has passed is the most interesting part of a relationship.

But as a super quick read (I read it in about the time you could watch a movie), it was still very cute and sweet with a few twists that I didn't expect at first, but were also fitting and connected Hadley and Oliver's lives even better than I originally anticipated. I'd recommend it if you're looking for an easy read and you're a fan of young adult contemporary romance.

Not much “love” incorporated. More so of daddy issues and past which I didn’t care much about lol. Pacing was slow, dragged on the unnecessaries, and too much descriptive writing unless you’re into that. Supposed to be made into a film so hopefully that’s way better than this (like Bridgerton.. novels were bad to me).

So cute! A short, romantic read! I liked it very much! Adorable, yet heartfelt and sad in some instances. 5 stars.
