A beautifully illustrated picture book.
A tale of strength and overcoming adversity, no matter your size or place.
Showing young readers the idea of change, coping with change, their emotions and anger.
Some important life lessons behind the cutesy story and images.
Thank you Netgalley for the e-arc.

This is such a lovely book! My son is a cat brother himself so we loved reading this story about the teeny tiny Dizzy Lizzie who does cute things to get the things she wants.

The illustrations are beautiful and so is the kittens' journey.

If you are looking for a pet for your child, read this book to them first.

Dizzy Lizzie is an adorable little kitten who is the runt of the litter. She is small and sickly. Circumstances soon separate her from her mother and then from her siblings. But Lizzie doesn't give up and soon finds a beautiful home.
As far as the story goes, it is a simple, cute, straightforward narration and goes exactly as expected. That's how early readers like it, right? A happy ending for everyone involved. Children will surely enjoy darling little Lizzie with her hissy fits and love for her siblings.
The story emphasizes the importance of animal adoption and that is a wonderful message to pass forward to little minds. What I found a pleasant surprise at the end was that this was based on the true story of the author and her cats. The pic melted my heart.
The illustrations are absolutely scrumptious!

I received an advance review copy of the book from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Disclaimer here - I love cats. So, as soon as I saw this one pop up I knew I had to read it. If you love cats, you definitely should read this cute story. It is about a litter of kittens, but mostly about the runt.

It is a reminder that no matter how big or small you are that you matter and not to ever give up.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #BooksGo Social for the #gifted copy of the book. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

First off, I love the artwork and cover. It exudes warmth and nice fuzzy feelings I got from reading the book. It pairs really well with the story. I gave this a 4 / 5 stars, only because I had hope for a different ending. I’m hoping maybe there is a sequel in the works. But man, do I love the realistic aspect injected into this story. It ties in with all of the themes the author has explored. Another reviewer in Amazon had mentioned that they would love to see this turn into a TV series or a mini film. And I completely agree with that. If this turned into a series, I would love to see more adventures of Dizzy Lizzy.

I can’t believe that within 18 pages, the author was able to make me invest in all of the characters. Not just Dizzy Lizzy but also the mom cat and the other eight kittens: Kimba, Chinky, Doodle, Twink, Chatterly, Squeaky, Whizzy, and Bink. I wish the book was even longer.

If this is just a stand-alone book with no sequels, I don’t mind it either. I did mention before that I love the realistic input from the author. The transformation of Dizzy Lizzy from a helpless kitten to an independent, determined, and creative character when it comes to problem-solving was so delightful to read on every page. I think any reader who picks up this book would also be inspired in also overcoming their challenges. This book has become very dear to me in such a short amount of time and I’m so thankful for Book Sirens for letting me enjoy this book. Thank you for the free copy of this book.
