This is the second translation of Siddhartha that I have listened to, I liked this one better than the other one.

Better than most religion books. That probably has more to do with the eastern religions not developing, to my knowledge, the convert or die view that so many religions have.

A truly spiritual book. Though short in pages, the content expands beyond the words, and I really liked every bit of it, definitely worth a read once in your life, a truly reflective book of spiritual understanding

Very enjoyable short book. It had many nuggets of wisdom within the story. It's made me interested in Hesse's other works.

English:
A book written in a way that everyone can understand it, although you don’t have to understand everything. Nowhere he says to much and still you have the feeling that everything is said. Perfectly it blends into your own association.
Hermann Hesse just tells a story that you follow lighthearted, but manages to speak skillfully to the reader directly.

Loved this book. It’s simple lyricism. Sometimes a book just hits you in a time it couldn’t have at any other time. Definitely one of those books.

Favorite passage near the conclusion:

"When someone is seeking," said Siddhartha, "it happens quite easily that he only sees the thing that he is seeking; that he is unable to find anything, unable to absorb anything, because he is only thinking of the thing he is seeking, because he has a goal, because he is obsessed with his goal. Seeking means: to have a goal; but finding means: to be free, to be receptive, to have no goal. You, O worthy one, are perhaps indeed a seeker, for in striving towards your goal, you do not see many things that are under your nose."
