Blind Magic- India Kells

5-stars

Blind Magic by India Kells is a phenomenally dynamic paranormal read! This is the second book in The Sanctuary Chronicles and my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. Though I found it easy enough to follow along I would recommend reading this series in order as the character introductions would have already been made. However, even having said that this storyline and book tops my list of favourite paranormal reads!

This book is detailed, intriguing, intense and so action-packed. There was always something going on which made it highly entertaining. I found that the storyline flowed flawlessly with easy to love characters. Each and every character added so much to the story and I’m really looking forward to reading book 1 and the remainder of the series as soon as possible.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

All Sera's life she's denied a part of who she is causing her to slowly lose her sight. After settling back in her apartment, her Aunt tells her there are rumors of those coming after her.

Ian lost his mate, child, and nearly his sanity. Asher and Sanctuary have been his saving grace. His life was nothing but darkness until a glasses wearing, book toting, brilliant witch came into his life. He is determined to make sure she is safe even though they can never be together.

Together with the help from their friends, they try to evade and defeat those after Sera. Will they succeed? Can they change their destiny?

This book grabbed me from the start! I love all the characters and can't wait to read the entire series.

This is a paranormal romance, and although I often find this genre lets me down, I've read other books by India Kells and this one held up. As the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone, as I did, having not read the first book. This story is about a witch and a werewolf, with magic, time travel, and mythology thrown in as well, which makes it unique. The plot was strong and I loved the character development of Sera as she finds out about her own past as well as questions her own destiny. The wider cast of characters were complex and dynamic too. Also loved the bookworm's heaven of a library! Great read with plenty of detail and action.

I have to say that Blind Magic is the first book that I read by India Kells. I was pleasantly surprised by what I read, as it had a good amount of Paranormal in it. I went in blind, without really knowing what the book really was. This was also because I haven’t read the first book in the Sanctuary Chronicles. It took me a second to follow along, but it wasn’t a major problem.

I most definitely enjoyed Sera & Ian’s world and all that they had to offer. Their quick attraction, which is undeniable is one that I loved. I liked the author’s ability to create this world, one that the reader can easily get lost within. I definitely enjoyed the writing style, character building as well as the way in which the storyline was portrayed. Definitely a 4 star book for me. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

A blind witch and a broken werewolf are bought together with a forbidden love spell in this book by India Kells. Sera Dover is an orphan witch where she’s obsessed with her magic and spell books. Determined to escape her past and move on with her future, she was hit with blindness unable to protect herself from a dangerous threat.
Ian Macon, the werewolf, has suffered a devastating loss after his mate has passed. He doesn’t believe he’ll ever replace her but when he meets Sera and her energy draws him in from her intelligence to her strong will. Drawn to who she is, he can’t leave without protecting her even if she doesn’t know it.
I loved the characters’ chemistry and the way they’re drawn to one another in a way that is undeniable. The action kept the reader on their toes watching and protecting Sera just like Ian does. The mystery is suspenseful and intriguing. Love this one!

Sera Dover is an orphan, but she is also more than that, Sera is a witch. Ian Macon is a werewolf with a broken heart and darkness he cannot escape from.
We first meet Sera in the Sanctuary where she lives and join her as she wakes before sunrise and decides that she is going to go down to the kitchen for a cup of tea and to make some notes on her current research project.

It is on her way here that Ian Macon finds her and cannot turn away from the light she shines on him, the question is, does he want to? He is still torn up about losing his wife and mate and is caught between that and his wolf's reaction to the light in Sera.

This is where the story really begins, as Sera loses an important part of who she is and discovers feelings that threaten to overwhelm her. She will need to uncover her past, present and future, how they all link together and what the consequences of these may be. While she does this, she is surrounded by friends and allies who rally around her and will protect her at all costs, but what will the costs be and how will she know what the right choices are?

You will be taken on a whirlwind ride and be there with her step by step as you become engrossed in the story, the characters and the world in which they all live. A definite page turner that keeps you guessing right until the end.

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)
By India Kells
4 stars

When I first read the blurb for this book I was really intrigued and it sounded a little different to anything that I had read before. I have read something by this author previously so I had high hopes that the writing would be good and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
I thought that the story was really unique and interesting to read. My attention was grabbed straight away and was held throughout the book. I liked the characters, I thought that they were thought out and they developed well over the story. I thought that Sera was strong female lead, she strong, independent and knew her limits. I really enjoyed reading about her. Ian was also a really strong character, not as alpha as I was expecting but I liked that about him.
There were some great twists and turns in the story that I definitely didn’t see coming and I definitely want to read book 1 in the series now!
A great story that I highly recommend.

This book is top notch! The author writes with a vividness that makes this hard to put down! It is filled with action, suspense and characters you can stand behind. The characters are lively and full of zest. Ian and Sera are great and full of depth. It was nice to watch them change and become more then possibly lose it all again. They drew me in and I couldn’t get to that last page fast enough. Just to find out what happens.
The secondary characters are fun! I really like Finn and Violet. They really have some great banter and I can’t wait for their story! All of the secondary characters are wonderful. They are full and give enough to make the reader wonder about them.
The author just surprises me at every turn. I did not read book 1 and I was hesitant to read this because I don’t believe in crossing species and witches aren’t my favorite characters. But I am so HAPPY I gave this one a shot! I might even go back and read book 1. But I am really looking for Finn’s story.
