Extra spicy for the series so far, and darker than expected. Could have used some stronger content warnings at the beginning of the book, but a great HEA.

a few things:
1. as foreplay the mmc shaves the fmc's v*g*n*, which was alarming at first ngl.
2. "orbs" is used as a synonym for eyes, and I've read too much fanfiction to be okay with that. it made sense in the context but I still did not like it.
3. I did like this book, there was some repetition plot wise, and it was waaaaaaayyy darker than the others.

CW: stalking, sexual harassment, violence, death of parent

I really enjoyed this one. I liked watching Livvy and Gareth slide from annoyance to love. I thought the grim reveals were nicely done. I thought Livvy and Gareth fit together really well. I loved watching Gareth interacting with the Savoie crew. This was such a great read.

Just when I think I couldn’t love her books more, Juliette writes a new one and I’m swooning all over again. Gareth is the perfect dark, grumpy hero. I love how bossy he is, but also how much of a softie he is for Livvy. And Livvy is a goddess! She is so strong, but  she is also so quick to submit to Gareth. I also loved seeing Gareth find out what a supportive family looks like and allow himself to be loved by them all. There were some tough subjects and TWs in this book, but as always Juliette handled them with care. I loved this one and cannot wait to read the next one in October!
