This was a good book until the last five minutes. NO HEA. The heroine is murdered. I don’t see why the author killed her off in the last few minutes. It just doesn’t make sense.

I love her books! I always have however the ending of this one pissed me off so bad!!!! Why why why why?!?!?!? Is all I have to say! I read Nicholas Sparks I know he rips my heart out in prepared for it. I have cried in Megan Smith books as well but not like this!!!! I hated this one!

Gutted. That is about the only word that comes to mind when I read this book. You get a glimpse as Layla and Eli in Let me Love You as well as the Christmas novella. This one we finally get a bigger picture at their relationship. Holy smokes these two took me for a rollercoaster and I wasn't sure where it was going to let me off. I love how proud Layla is. Taking care of herself as well as her sister. Enter Eli who is at least to me, the epic male that every girl wants. He is so driven yet so beyond sweet. He wants whats best for Layla and when these two finally come together, it is beyond beautiful. I love the banter between these two as well as their spicier moments.
Overall this book was hard to put down. I won't lie. The ended killed me but it is BEYOND worth the read. This is so far my favorite book by Megan Smith and I am so looking forward to more from this!
