I found some great “aha” moments in this book, and really enjoyed the parts that talked about women’s anger in history. While the focus was on the US, it would have been great to learn more about international movements, perhaps that’s for another book though. (Read for Feminist Book Club)

traister was only thinking about cisgender sane straight white women when she wrote this and boy howdy does it show.

ever wanted to read about feminism/politics in the trump years but minimally see trump mentioned? this is the book for you! political weight of women's anger partially situated in its greater context (could have had more tbh but as always I like the book when its got more words lol) very upfront that this book is mostly about white women and does mention how those newly awakened to anger in the trump years were majority white women (bc others were Already angry and active). best discussion of me too i've ever read. forward written four years later is great to read both before and after finishing the book

I really enjoyed this and I also think it's an important narrative at this point in history. I know I'm feeling angry about sexism and misogyny and their ugly and intrusive presence in our politics, discourse, and current events, almost all the time these days, and this book was so affirming to read. May women's anger move our society closer to the best it can be.

Well damn.

Powerful and awe inspiring. Would that more women found their fury like this. A must read for everyone, both to understand be understood.
