I think this short story may be my favourite!!!!!

REASONS WHY:
1. SAM CORTLAND
Sammy boy has become one of my lovers and favourite male characters . He’s in such a frazzled mess with Celaena. Since he’s soooooooooo in love is really rips my heart anytime he looks or talks to her. He’s just the sweetest really. Just my epitome of standards for guys. I’ve always believe Sam was Celaena’ s mate. While rowan was Aelins

2. Cameo of Dorian and Chaol.
The party Sam and Celaena attends we meet the mysterious Dorian and Chaol in masks. And Dorian actually flirts with her it’s insane. How I’ve never picked this up but read pages 282-283.

3. Celaena and Sam
Yup my two lover birds confess love in the sewers most romantic scene ever. Sadly Celaena never said I love you to Sam.

4. Legally free
Sam and celaena are free for now from arobyyns grips. Which is good ish but he still has a leash on both of them. Did I mention I HATE arrobyn !!!

Well, I think I am more of a long story person. It was good, not too good to read it the second time. I can feel the story building and I will definitely want to find out what is going to happen next. As about this book, I found it interesting, but found the love story a little bit cheesy. Knowing how confident and cocky Celeana is, I would expect her to take longer to admit her love for Sam. All in all, I would recommend it, just to build your interest before the ma in book.:)

I'm still not feeling Celaena's emotions toward Sam. The author doesn't describe her feelings. I don't know why she loves him because it is never shown through actions or feelings. I don't know how exactly she feels about him. Is it because Celaena doesn't think about her emotions? I feel like this should be conveyed...

Don't get me wrong; I think Sam is a great character, and Celaena is great too. I just don't see any chemistry or spark between them.

Arobynn Hamel seriously needs his butt kicked. I really hope Celaena sees him again in the series and gives him what he deserves. He is a real piece of work!

Cute background story with Sam, I am not crazy about the depiction of the abusive relationship with Arobynn. Good action, and more showing of what makes Caelena a prized assassin.

definitely my favorite of the short stories thus far; i appreciated getting to see a bit more about the dynamic between sam and calaena and what their lives were like before the events of throne of glass

This was all about Celaena and Sam. Lysandra also showed up in this one, and it really makes me regret I didn't read these novellas before the main books
