“Who’s your friend?” Lilias asked.
“What friend?”
“The girl that came here with you.”
I stared at her. “No one came with me.”
“Yes, she did.” Lilias insisted. She pointed at Rebecca’s closed door and added, “She just went in there. She said it was her room but that’s not true. That’s my sister’s room.”
- Alex Bell, Frozen Charlotte

I enjoyed this book as it was really creepy, but I could still manage it as someone who usually hates horror anything. Lilias was so sweet and misunderstood by a lot of people that she honestly made the story for me. I liked how fast paced the story began but by half way through the story, the way the story was going to go was pretty obvious. While I was happy with the ending of this story for the characters, I almost feel like it ended too perfectly, and the epilogue was unnecessary as I felt like it was just a way to link the end to the beginning of the book.

This is an amazing book. I'm not really and scary book person, but Frozen Charlotte is just perfect, with enough creepy and morbid to balance out curiosity. I would totally recommend this book.

This book is absolutely terrifying with twists and turns I never could've guessed. This author has an extreme talent for building up tension. Overall a very interesting read, but do be cautious as there is a lot of gruesome things described in quite a bit of detail, mainly to do with eyes & blood, and be careful if you have a history with s*lf h*rm like me.

i read this book years ago and decided to revisit it recently! i'd forgotten all about the ending and so the last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat and so stressed for the characters. gripping and exciting, and i feel that this time around i understood the story better than the first time i read it
