Only Us is a novella in the Fool’s Gold series. Ahhhhh I just loved reading this book. I just fell in love with Carina and Cameron and I was just so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

A short story but cute. I have been wanting to read this series but haven't with all the other series I've been reading. This book makes me want to put this series more to the front of the line. I love reading Susan Mallery's books.

Rather a short but endearing book. Rina has her heart set on finding love with her coworker and employer Cameron. Cameron unfortunately has other ideas. He thinks Rina is the perfect caregiver for his daughter and the perfect friend for himself and he dare not ruin that by becoming emotionally involved with her. Having been abandoned by his wife when his daughter was just an infant he has worked hard to protect both his daughter and himself from being hurt again.
Rina takes matters into her own hands and declares her love to Cameron. When the sentiment is not returned, Rina steels herself to create a new life that no longer includes either Cameron or his daughter. Cameron realizes that he now faces a life without Rina in it, and must come to terms with his insecurities.
Mallery is able to put a lot of emotion and characterization in a short novella. You find yourself cheering Rina on, because she is a truly likeable character.

I am still disappointed with the length of this story, but it was satisfyingly sappy and left me happy with the feel good ending.
