Earlier this year i became hooked on Nora Roberts alter ego J D Robb and now this has me hooked on more of her writing.
Mainly a ghost story but with her romantic sprinklings throughout this follows Stellas move across America from Michigan to Memphis Tennessee. A new job and home with an unexpected additional feature in its century old ghost give Stella's life enough complications and then there is Logan.

I listened on audio - a very easy and compelling audio of an equally compelling tale I am not sure why it has taken me so long to bring this author onto my shelves

3.5 rounded up to 4. I liked it. I found myself having to power through in the middle so I could move on to my next book I wanted to read, but liked the ending, aside from the male pushiness. I will continue reading the series!

The language used in this book is outdated and the love interest does not respect boundaries. It's a sweet story about a mother and her two friends finding community after the loss of her husband, as well as a household ghost's traumatic past. I would have liked this book to be more about the ghost's story though, rather than the love interest. Described every prominent female character as "smelling sexy".

I have read many a Nora Roberts books passed down from my mother but this series always stuck with me. I loved the books from start to finish. This is no offense at all but most Nora Roberts books are the saw in the sense of romance, small town storyline, but with this one I was pleasantly surprised and still engrossed in the romance aspect.

This is the first non-bride quartet book that I've read by Nora Roberts and I really enjoyed it. Three years after the death of her husband, Stella Rothchild moves to Memphis with her two young boys to work at In the Garden, a nursery owned by Rosalind Harper. Stella is pretty feisty and does her best to make the garden businesses flourish with her management ideas. In the process she has trouble getting along with Rosalind's landscaper, Logan Kitridge. They have disagreeing views about how the business should be run and eventually their arguments lead to passion. Not everyone is happy with their budding romance. The legend of the Harper Bride ghost becomes reality when Stella and those around her notice strange happenings around the home. Will they discover the identity of the Harper Bride and rid the evil from their lives?
