E con questo concludiamo in ciclo dedicato a Magnus Bane, ciclo che ammetto di aver aspettato con grandissime aspettative e che alla fine si è rivelato una serie di fanfiction senza più o meno né capo né coda. Se devo scegliere "Il corso di un amor cortese" è il capitolo di Magnus Bane che mi è piaciuto di più, ma non tanto per la trama (praticamente inesistente) ma perché c'erano i Malec di mezzo e tutti shippiamo Malec, si sa.
In realtà è solo un appuntamento tra Alec e Magnus in cui Magnus, sarcasmo e battutine a parte, è noioso e sembra trattare i ragazzi come fossero oggetti ed Alec non sembra nemmeno Alec.
L'Alec del primo libro intendo, qualcuno se lo ricorda? non quello stereotipato che la Clare si è inventata dopo ma sassy Alec, quello che rispondeva male a Clary e faceva sarcasmo. Ecco, questo con quell'Alec non ha niente a che vedere. Strano, visto che questa storia è ambientata proprio nel primo libro di Shadowhunters.
Pensavo che il compito di questo racconto fosse dimostrarci che Magnus, fin dal primo appuntamento, vedeva Alec in maniera differente rispetto a tutti i suoi ex. Ecco, così non è stato.
Si, Magnus dice che Alec è diverso, dice che Alec gli dà una sensazione diversa e che non ha mai avuto appuntamenti con Shadowhunters ma appunto sembra che lo dica per sottolineare 'così potrò dire in giro che sono uscito pure con uno shadowhunters!' e uhm, non è una cosa che rende speciale la sua relazione con Alec per così dire.
Il combattimento con la lupa mannara? mah. Era necessario? chiaramente no.
Amo i Malec, ed amo anche Magnus ed Alec ma questo racconto non è niente di speciale. Come niente di speciale sono le Cronache di Magnus Bane che non solo non rendono giustizia al personaggio di Magnus ma lo fanno apparire a tratti insopportabile, come se dopo tutti questi anni Magnus si comportasse ancora come un ragazzino (o peggio) sempre pronto a giudicare gli altri ed a pensare solo a sé stesso.

It was so cute and perfect I thought I might have died of feels. I wish There were more moments like these in TMI between Magnus and Alec.

Well, damn! I laughed my ass off with this one.
I already knew Cassandra Clare to be damn funny. I love her sarcasm and her wit. But I wasn't expecting her to show some serious inclination for another type of humor: the deliciously ratchet one.
The 'Butt Song' totally killed me!

Cassie sure knows about her sweet asses. She created some of the sweetest ever: Jace, Jem, Will, Alec, Magnus, Simon, etc. And I foresee lots of those to come.

This short story was so not what I was expecting. I was fully prepared to feel some really intense stuff, considering this was about Magnus and Alec's first date and when we talk about first dates we are bound to talk about all those feelings that are present in the blooming of a new relationship.
It's a great short story in it's own way, though, so read it, especially if you're a Malec shipper like me.

VERY OMG! My third fave out of all the Bane Chronicles!!! It just made me feel all the MALEC feels~ LOL! I didn't really like Alec that much as a character. I only liked him when he's with Magnus. But this book made me j'adore him so much! :)
That climax leading to the end was such a let-down though. I was so hyped up and then... oh well. There's still a next time. :)

I love Magnus and Alec. Just curious why the series ended where it did. I have a lot of questions. Maybe the answers will be in 'City of Heavenly Fire'? I hope so.
