Last Chance Books was a cute little bookstore rivalry between Madeline and Jasper. Both worked at their family-owned bookstore. But the problem is… one is falling apart while the other is thriving. What bookstore will survive? Can Madeline resist the cuteness of Jasper?
It was cute, but I didn’t like Madeline. She’s too angsty, and I can’t take it. I found Madeline to be kind of judgmental and rude. It was written in a single POV. The character of Jasper wasn’t explored in enough depth where it could’ve been. The plot was predictable, and the dialogues were a bit weird and unrealistic. The characters were just 18-19 years old, but they were arguing like 35 years old.
Overall, it was a fun read. The premise of the book was great. If you’re looking for a cute story about bookstores and a fun romance, I recommend this.

Not too bad, this was pretty enjoyable. The main character, she could be kind of mean and dramatic and self-centered at times but she was also relatable and I didn’t mind her too much. The plot was good too, I love books and I would love to work at a family owned bookstore and have a romance like this with a rival guy across the street.
Speaking of guys, Jasper was probably my favorite and the best part of this book. He was so fine and sweet and gentle and he liked her so much, not matter their differences. And he was innocent but like in such a good way with her. 4 stars, a sweet romance and I want a Jasper in my life

this book lowkey sucked. the only thing i liked about it was the setting. i was so excited for a bookstore rivals enemies to lovers type beat. but... the enemies to lovers was practically nonexistent. he was into her from the beginning, she was the only one causing problems ever. she was immature even for a ya book.
though its true that there is a Lee Dong Wook gif for every review. i will be including a Lee Dong Wook gif or photo in every review from now on.
