So, I read all but the last 40 pages of this book. Maybe you'll say that doesn't count as fully reading it, but I don't care. I just couldn't do it. And I can't really give a great explanation as to why.

In general, I enjoyed this book. Though I no longer holder Mr.Jensen in as high regard as I once did, I thought this work in particular was decent.

Ultimately, I failed to finish this book. It sat around my house for way too long. The half of it that I did read of it was excellent. Maybe I'll get back to it someday.

Overall a really really good read. I'd recommend it to anyone. Everyone. The book is not without it's problems but in the end they are too minor to go into. After about halfway through the book I voiced my biggest complaint which can be read below if you really want to. Just don't let me or anyone else discourage you from reading this book if you are at all interested in it. Even the length of the book, which, because of his wandering prose, was much longer than it needed to be, still should not be reason enough to keep you from reading it.

****Okay so I'm not all the way through this gratuitously long book just yet, and so far it has been a fairly worthwhile read, but what in the world is with this guy's views on pornography? I spent the first 200 pages nodding my head in almost total agreement and then out of nowhere Jensen turns into Kirk Cameron. What the heck happened there? I guess I'm the only one to take issue with his opinions on porn because I've searched and searched the reviews and nary a mention of his right wing extremism concerning the "dangers" of pornography. Which seems strange considering the intended audience (which I have to assume, is for the most part, fairly left wing). I hate to say that he lost some credibility with me over something like this but really, when you start in with this whole porn is evil business I can't help but NOT take you seriously.
