Paul Ryder makes a living as a ghost writer of sport biographies as he can no longer work as a journalist. But he still has contacts in the political world and is given a tip about a minister who has assaulted his assistant. However, while trying to contact the assistant for a freelance story he soon realises that the story is bigger than just an assault. Being followed is one of the first indications and being warned off is another.

This is another good read from the series. I really enjoyed this and Paul Ryder seems to gets himself into hot water at the drop of a hat. In this case it's a bush fire that almost gets him.

Worth reading as is the whole series.
